THE PROCESS
Our process is communication and cooperation - leading to common achievement. Communication begins with listening. An initial meeting allows us to discuss the client's vision. We listen to homeowner's goals and help take them from cautious and unsure to comfortable and confident.
Cooperation is the building block for constructing a home in an informed and timely manner. Custom homebuilding is an educational experience. A good design/build firm provides its clients with the information they need to make informed decisions regarding the scope and direction of their project. We always review the site, budget, and timeline constraints to ensure that we can deliver a client's dream. Common achievement is the transformation of a thought into reality involving the architect, builder, and homeowner. Careful consideration is given to each design detail and nuance so that it will accurately reflect the individuality of the homeowner and meet their goals.

Our clients work directly with the principals who offer their decades of experience and knowledge. Combining architect and homebuilder into one package allows clients to deal with the same individuals throughout the entire process. Our team's construction and design experience spans over 75 years with work across the United States: from Hawaii to the Rocky Mountains to Arizona. We are members of the National Association of Home Builders, Better Business Bureau, American Institute of Architects. We are a preferred homebuilder in Silverleaf, Estancia, Desert Mountain, Talking Rock, Desert Highlands, Troon, and DC Ranch. We are a certified green homebuilder in Scottsdale and Paradise Valley.

Tom Fisher and Fisher Custom Homes have been building fine, high-end custom homes since 1978. It was Tom Fisher’s vision to create a place where a small group of employees with professionalism and expertise were given the freedom to excel in creating the dream homes envisioned by clientele. Tom is a dually licensed commercial and residential contractor and has built over 700 homes ranging in price from $1,000,000 to $15,000,000. Educated as an engineer, Tom enjoys the outdoors and looks forward to his annual adventure expeditions.
Jeff Biever
Jeff is the lead designer responsible for bringing dreams to life. Their 20+ years working together attest to the well-matched team that Tom and Jeff are. Jeff's first job in architecture was in junior high school and he's been at it for the past 28 years working in both commercial and high-end residential. He is passionate about client interaction in his designs. Jeff finds creative inspiration as he bikes.
David Healy
Project Manager David Healy, who comes to us from Ireland, coordinates the work of our outside consultants, homeowners associations and municipalities. David also develops our construction drawings in Autocad. He received a Bachelor’s degree in Architectural Technology from Hariot-Watt University in Scotland. When not transversing the globe, David is an avid soccer player.
Steve Bagdon
Steve Bagdon is in his 11th year with Fisher Custom Homes. His 34 years of building experience include time spent as the Vice President of Operations for a commercial developer in Chicago building hotels, offices, banks, shopping centers, and warehouses. Steve says that "even after 34 years, building is still a lot of fun." When not spending time with his kids in Minneapolis and Chicago, Steve loves traveling and photographing the back roads of Arizona and New Mexico.
Tim Codner
Field Superintendent Tim Codner’s 20 plus years with the company makes him much sought after. His vast experience in residential construction makes him a favorite with clients and subcontractors alike. Tim is a graduate of the University of Arizona with a Bachelor of Science in Finance. He uses that number crunching side to track his golf game and his five kids.
Mike Grannis
Field Superintendent Mike Grannis works on the Talking Rock Ranch project in Prescott, Arizona. Before moving into residential building, Mike spent seven years in different fields of commercial building including fire prevention, glazing, and project management. While much different than his work as an integrated avionics technician in the Air Force, Mike is enjoying the challenges and uniqueness of custom home building. Mike is an avid sports fan who performs volunteer work with the United Animal Friends.
Dennis Myers
Dennis, with field superintendent Mike Grannis, oversees custom home construction in Prescott, Arizona. Dennis has a 27 year career developing and building golf and residential properties across the United States including AZ, NV, CA, TX, FL and HI.
Jerry Spicer
With over 20 years in construction management experience, Field Superintendent Jerry Spicer is well-equipped to handle all aspects of FCH's high-end residential market. Jerry has worked in both single family building and commercial construction. He enjoys working with trades and clients alike and likes the building industry. Jerry is an Indy and Rolex sports car racing fan and pines for his own Porsche to race.
Jennifer Cole
Jennifer Cole joined Fisher as CFO after a career spent in a variety of industries. Before moving to the private sector, her accounting career began in public accounting where she spent 10 years. She has worked within international business, private aviation, non-profit, commercial and residential construction. Her role is overseeing the financial and operational side of the business. Jennifer recently completed her Masters in Business from the W.P. Carey School at Arizona State University.
Helen Ellis
Helen’s smiling face is the first to greet visitors to our office or over the phone. She’ll know your voice when you call in and your name when you visit. Helen has been an integral member of the FCH team for 7 years. She is our expert in dealing with the ins and outs of construction insurance! Her hidden talents though include quilting.
Monica Rosen
Construction Accountant Monica Rosen found herself in the construction industry after obtaining an AA degree in Business Administration and years spent in multi-family property management. Monica coordinates the field with subcontractor contracting and payment. But if you want to know anything about the Beatles – she’s the one to talk with!
Christine Upcraft
Controller Christine Upcraft oversees the accounting and administrative staff. Her career has spanned manufacturing as well as construction accounting. Christine earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from NY College. She works closely with our clients and their lenders to handle all construction draw processing. Watch out for Christine if you’re out on the beautiful Arizona back roads. She’s a daredevil explorer with her quad!
